Celebrate Earth Day by making this adorable Earth Day Necklace Craft! This craft uses just a few simple supplies including repurposed toilet paper tubes or paper towel tubes. You can even add more repurposed or upcycled items for an extra creative touch.
Please note this craft should be done with children old enough to safely wear a necklace.

✂️ Supplies needed
For this necklace, you will need:
- String
- Scissors
- Free printable art: See further below in the post on how to download and print (no sign up required).
- Empty toilet paper tubes or paper towel tubes
- Crayons, paint, or markers
- Laminator or contact paper: This is optional but I recommend laminating the printable art to make it more durable.
- Hole punch: To string the beads you'll make out of toilet paper rolls and the printable art onto the necklace.
🖍️ How to make
Gently press your toilet paper tubes until they are almost flat and then cut into strips and make a hole punch on each side (See Image 1).
Next, paint or color each strip (See Image 2). If painting, set aside to dry. Punch holes in the sides to make them into a bead.
Color in the printable art below (I recommend laminating for extra durability) and then hole punch to be able to add to the necklace (See Image 3).
Cut a piece of string and then have your child add everything onto it as beads then tie (See Image 4).
Please remember that this craft should be done with children old enough to safely wear necklaces.
