Crossing Guard Appreciation Day is usually celebrated in February and I think it is such an important event. We love our crossing guard (Ms. Mickie!!!) who helps us cross the street safely to our school, especially when there are distracted drivers who don't always pay attention. Our school also has several other crossing guards for other streets. It is a really tough job (but a rewarding one) that deserves to be recognized and celebrated!
